Crown Web Solutions is the home of experienced web developer Mark Wilcox.
Mark is a veteran web developer with experience in just about every major sector including Marketing, Retail, Finance, Customer Support and even Video Games. As a time-served graphic artist he also brings valuable design skills to his solutions.
Starting off his IT career attending mainframes the size of most people's bathrooms Mark quickly developed a love for the more creative aspects of computing. With the advent of the world wide web he saw his opportunity to become more "hands on" and soon grasped the skills required to create web pages. Over the following years his skills improved considerably and he soon found himself in high demand.
After a short spell in video games creating artwork for popular Nintendo titles, Mark turned his hand to the world of eMarketing where he developed complex solutions that are still used today by well known names on the high street such as Debenhams, John Lewis and Asda.
From there it was time to specialise in the busy and demanding world of high street retail.
"As manager of web promotions, paid advertising and site design for a high street brand leader I soon became acutely aware of what will make you money (and what won't) in the internet world."
Keen to pursue fresh challenges Mark accepted a position within a financial services provider where he concentrated on secure web site solutions to the stock market.
"If there is one thing that is going to place demands on you as a developer it is the security requirements of a stock broker. You simply cannot be too careful with several thousand pounds of people's money !"
Today Mark takes all of his industry experience and offers it to the people and small businesses of South Cheshire and surrounding areas.
"I deliberately try to keep it local. It's hugely important to me to meet with my clients at short notice as and when required. There is no substitute for being on somebody's doorstep within the hour if they have a problem. At the very least I ensure that I can pick up and respond to my customer's emails on the move."
